How to better choose the tap

There are many tap brands on the market now. Due to the different materials used, the prices of the same specifications are also very different, which makes many buyers not know where to start. The following will teach you a few simple methods:
At the time of purchase (except for non-slotted taps due to non-detection equipment), it can be simply detected:
1: Look at whether the shovel grinding (chamfering) of the front end of the tap groove is uniform, and whether there is a fast cutting edge of the cutting groove. The good one is in a positive 7-shaped shape, and the bad one is in an inverted 7-shaped or U-shaped shape (when exiting the tap, it will cause two cutting, which is easy to break and affects the accuracy of the thread);
2. Detect the heat treatment situation: the tap is parabola (about 5 meters) falling flat into the air to see if it is broken, which indicates that the brittleness is large;
3: Knock off the tap to see if the fracture is oblique and long, and the molecular particles in the fracture are fine, indicating that the heat treatment and material are good, flat or oblique short, and coarse molecular particles are not good.
The quality of the tap mainly depends on its original material, heat treatment, groove type, precision, equipment, speed and processed material, hardness, the quality of the operator and so on. When selecting a tap, pay special attention to the original material, heat treatment and groove type of the tap. For different processing holes, it is recommended to choose different types of taps.
