1) Disc milling cutter. Generally, it is composed of a machine clamping blade or cutter head on a disc-shaped cutter body, and is often used for end milling larger planes.
2) End milling cutter. End milling cutter is a kind of milling cutter commonly used by zui in numerical control milling, which is widely used in processing flat parts. fig. 4-3 shows two common end milling cutters of zui. End milling cutter in addition to its end edge milling, also commonly used its side edge milling, sometimes end edge, side edge milling at the same time, end milling cutter can also be called cylindrical milling cutter.
3) forming milling cutter. Milling cutters are generally designed and manufactured for specific workpieces or processing contents, and are suitable for processing specific shapes of flat parts (such as angle surfaces, groove surfaces, etc.), and are also suitable for special holes or tables.
4) ball end milling cutter. It is suitable for processing space curved surface parts, and sometimes it is also used for the supplementary processing of large transfer concave arcs of plane parts. Figure 4-5 is a common ball end milling cutter.
5) Drum-shaped milling cutter. It is a typical drum-shaped milling cutter, mainly used for the approximate processing of the variable angle surface of the variable angle parts.
In addition to the above types of milling cutters, CNC milling machines can also use various general-purpose CNC milling cutters. However, due to the special broach device in the spindle of many CNC milling machines, or due to the different taper of the bore in the spindle, the transition sleeve and pull rod must be prepared.
